Horse Racing Tips – 29th August 2015
Things are heating up no ladies and gents. Spring Carnival in upon us and we have the big boys back in town.
We are updating a new results spreadsheet at the moment so we can’t give an accurate yearly profit. Having said that, we would of surpassed 150 units profit easily which is a great effort so far. Let’s get another big day today and really fly towards 200 units.
Outside of getting odds early, the best way to maximise your wins is to have an online bookie that gives you the ‘Best of’ markets. The following two bookies are great to ensure you maximise your wins:
- Bet365 – gives you great odds, especially fixed markets compared to most bookies. Also give you best of the totes for exotics like quaddies and trifecta. Get a Bet365 account here
- William Hill – gives you the best of the totes for win bets. Get a William Hill account here
We recommend placing 1 unit each way on those with suitable place odds ($1.80 or more). Otherwise it is 2 units on the nose or 1 unit for multi’s.
Race 3 – Catanach’s Jewellers Handicap (1200m)
Tip: Kayjays Joy
Analysis: Has always shown plenty of ability and does let down with a nice sprint. Comes to Victoria now and won nicely first up. Looks to have matured a bit and improved nicely. Weight drop and drawn well.
Race 4 – H.D.F. McNeil Stakes (1200m)
Tip: Ready for Victory
Analysis: Won very well in his first start after doing everything wrong and then motored home behind Vancouver. Drawn well here and this is not too tough.
Race 5 – Theshark.Com.Au Stakes (1100m)
Tip: Rich Enuff
Analysis: Boom horse resuming here and has won 2 trials leading in. Runs to ability should be winning but no doubt you will pay for it at around $2-$2.50.
Race 6 – Hockingstuart Handicap (1400m)
Tip: Charmed Harmony (Value: Pressing)
Analysis: Barrier 1 and likes to lead so they will have their work cut out to catch him. No reason he won’t win again. Pressing has been sent to us as a little inside mail, and at nice odds is worth a shake.
Race 7 – William Hill Sprint Series Ht1 (1200m)
Tip: Jessy Belle
Analysis: Jessy Belle is one of our favourites who drops in weight and drawn ideally. Watch for her to storm home at ridiculously over odds.
Race 8 – Nz Bloodstock Memsie Stakes (1400m)
Analysis: Back to his best from nowhere last prep, and considering he is an old favourite and we have shares in his half-sister, we must get behind him. Giddy-up Bobaaaaaaaannnnnn!
Rosehill (New South Wales)
Race 6 – Tab Place Multi Handicap (1100m)
Analysis: Can win fresh and has trialled nicely recently. This isn’t an overly strong field and she has drawn well. Should get solid odds.
Race 7 – Schweppes Handicap (1400m)
Tip: His Majesty
Analysis: A bug array of international horses have graced our shores in the past 12 months, and almost all with great success. This bloke is no different, and on ability should be too good here.
Race 8 – Tab Rewards Handicap (1200m)
Analysis: Call me a glutton for punishment but his win two starts ago was huge. Last start (apart from stuffing our huge multi), he was too far back and never had a chance. Today shouldn’t be run the same and that gives him a chance to run over the top.
Race 3 – Beach House Bar & Grill C,g&e (1350m)
Analysis: NZ horse that has impressed in his past two starts on the Sunshine Coast. Deserves a go at Doomben and is likely to sit near the front and be hard to beat in the straight.
Race 5 – Madame Wu Class 6 Handicap (1600m)
Analysis: Running is super form without winning. Is due for the cheque and he is drawn well and weighted well. This is his chance.
Race 2 – William Hill Hurdle Aus Vs Ire (3200m)
Analysis: Apparently had respiratory issues last start, but prior was dominating. I will assume they wouldn’t run him with any problems and a step back to 3200m suits nicely.
Race 3 – Rtc Group Handicap (1200m)
Analysis: Small field and Riziz is the class act here. On ability and previous form he should be winning this.
Race 5 – Pr Country Interstate Membership (1000m)
Analysis: The top weight is the obvious favourite but carrying 63kg doesn’t tickle my fancy. That’s almost 10kg on Travellin’ who has won impressively in easier races. Gets 3.5kg off last start and drawn perfectly. Will be an interesting race.
Race 8 – Emirates Melbourne Cup Tour Sept (1200m)
Analysis: Last start had no favours but still motored home to win. Will be fitter here again and be charging home.
