HORSE RACING TIPS – 18th April 2015

HORSE RACING TIPS

A great day of racing today with so many great horses around. Let’s dig deep and continue our great form of late.

PREFERRED STAKING

Outside of getting odds early, the best way to maximise your wins is to have an online bookie that gives you the ‘BEST OF’ markets. We prefer Bet365 because it gives you the BEST of the totes OR the fixed price, and always seem to have the best FIXED odds. BANG!

Get a Bet365 account here.

We recommend placing 1 unit each way on those with suitable place odds ($1.80 or more). Otherwise it is 2 units on the nose or 1 unit for multi’s.

RANDWICK

RACE 2 – Hi World

Backed it last time and it won like it should. We got a tip on this when its prep started so no reason to jump off in this field.

RACE 3 – Pittsburgh Flyer

Did not handle the track last start. Am willing to give it one more chance on its prior efforts. Should get some better odds this time too.

RACE 6 – Chautauqua

Just can’t not back him after the past few. Arguably the best sprinter in the world and I think the 1400m will suit perfectly. I am willing to give him a go anyway, even at short odds.

RACE 7 – Our Boy Malachi (VALUE: Craftiness)

Not being too special here with Malachi. He is a ripper and loves it fresh. Will be very hard to beat here. Craftiness is one we have followed since its first start on our page. Ever since one of our inside sources told us this is a group horse in the making, well they were spot on. Today is the day we find out how good.

RACE 8 – Strawberry Boy

Love it fresh winning 4 from 6, and this is weaker than usual. Should be right in it at the end.

CAULFIELD

RACE 3 – Brave Journey

Always tough to match up SA with VIC, but she is super consistent and will benefit from the break. First up has won 4 from 5 and this race isn’t hard.

RACE 6 – Trust in a Gust

Will be short but I can’t find a reason not to him.

RACE 7 – Fontein Ruby

Same as above. Should be winning this.

RACE 9 – Gregers

Barriers 1 will see her go forward and at Caulfield be incredibly tough to beat. I suspect a few others in the market will be too far back to catch her.

RACE 10 – Amorino

This is a tough race but considering he has given me some great wins I will forgive last start and have another go. Many of the favourites are sitting in crazy wide barriers and at Caulfield the sprint isn’t that long. Expect him to jump and sit in the top 4-5, and providing he gets a clear run should be in with a big chance at $10+. Be warned though, this race has plenty of chances.

DOOMBEN

Nothing today with plenty of big Brisbane fields and heaps of chances. Tough to find any standouts or value for that matter.

MORPHETTVILLE

RACE 3 – Capodecina

Keeps giving us some brilliant winners but this is the tough test here. No reason to stay away after last start though.

RACE 4 – Misty Waters

This is harder here but last start won by 4L. I am willing to suggest she is up to it..

RACE 5 – Eclair Choice (ROUGHIE: Puzzle **IF you love a big odds horse)

Been very close the last two and back in distance suits perfectly. Will go very close here.

RACE 6 – Platelet

Usually runs around against much tougher horses than this. First up was a tough win and she will be ready to fire again here with 3 kg off her back.

ASCOT

RACE 3 – Highly Secret

God helps us. She has been super impressive lately but just can’t pop the nose in front. Will give us every chance again.

RACE 6 – Tower of Lonhro

Back in distance is a little concerning but has been charging home in stronger races. Gets a nice claim and barrier 5 suits.

RACE 7 – First Among Equals

Won well last start and prior to that was close behind some ripper horses. Should give this a huge shake.

RACE 8 – Sheidel

Going for 6 straight wins. Why not!

BIG ARSE PLACE MULTI (If less than 8 runners the leave it out)

Personally think all of these are great winning chances. if you are game, throw a $$ or two down for all wins.
